Biography

Victoria is a specialist clinical negligence solicitor and was appointed a Partner at Lamb Brooks in January 2022.

Victoria is a highly regarded and experienced lawyer who represents clients with complex and high value claims. Victoria has worked in the area of clinical negligence for many years and is committed to going the extra mile to achieve the best possible settlement for those whose lives have been tragically affected by negligent medical care.

She has a particular interest in birth injury and neonatal care and has represented a number of families who have tragically suffered a stillbirth. Victoria also has extensive experience in the coroner’s court and can assist and guide families through the inquest process.

Victoria has an incredibly kind, compassionate and patient nature. These skills make her an excellent lawyer when it comes to helping clients who have suffered tragic losses or who are going through upsetting, stressful times. She is an understanding ear at the other end of the phone who understands that many of her claims need to be handled with a high degree of sensitivity. She indentifies with her clients' concerns and provides ongoing reassurance whilst navigating their claim.

Work Highlights

  • Representing a family at inquest and then with the clinical negligence claim relating to the tragic loss of their newborn son. The claim led to changes being made at the defendant Trust to prevent this from happening to another family and a six-figure settlement was achieved on behalf the family.

  • Representing a young woman who had suffered preventable injury when giving birth. The injury was life changing and led to debilitating symptoms impacting her career and domestic life. Victoria worked with various medical experts to put together a treatment and care plan for her future and this information was used to achieve a six-figure settlement.

  • Acting for a young man who had a delayed diagnosis of testicular cancer. He required intensive treatment including surgery and chemotherapy and suffered PTSD.  The Trust admitted responsibility and a substantial settlement was achieved.
