Jill Lipscombe

Biography

Jill Lipscombe is an experienced Dispute Resolution Solicitor who has been working in the Courts of London, Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire since 2008.  Her client base is local, national and international and she has worked with clients as far away as Australia.

 

She has an extremely wide breadth of knowledge and experience and frequently is told by clients that she takes the stress out of contentious matters with her ability to guide them through and resolve their disputes.  Jill has worked with both individuals and businesses throughout her career and prides herself on her ability to achieve outcomes that meet the client’s primary objectives.  Her approachable and supportive manner for her own clients is balanced against her ability to be firm and direct when engaging with the other parties.

 

Jill is particularly experienced in property and commercial litigation working with landlord’s, tenants and property owners of both residential and commercial property.  She frequently acts as the advocate in the County Court and her organisation skills and composed presentation is valued by those she works with.

 

Furthermore, Jill is extremely experienced at resolving contentious probate disputes and her sympathetic demeanour enables her clients to feel in safe hands at what is inevitably a stressful time.

  • Successfully resolving a commercial contract claim worth over £1.5m through mediation enabling a speedy receipt of payment by her client without excessive legal costs being incurred.
  • Appearing in Court every month with an extremely high success rate in securing possession orders for landlord clients to secure the prompt removal of tenants including securing orders for repayment of rent arrears and costs.
  • Successfully defended a claim brought against beneficiaries of a Will without any payment needing to be made to the third party alleging the claim.

Outside of Work

Jill loves being outdoors at the weekends on a hike, exploring a forest or beach with her family. She is a decent cook and Friday night always involves a home-made curry feast. Jill enjoys travelling and the National Parks in the USA are a particular favourite destination.
