Work Highlights

  • Representing a lady who had a delayed diagnosis of lung cancer. Sadly a scan 3 years previous was interpreted incorrectly resulting in a failure to refer for further assessment which would have led to an earlier diagnosis. The delayed diagnosis meant that curable surgery was no longer an option and sadly she passed away. The Trust admitted responsibility and a six-figure settlement was achieved.

  • Representing a gentleman who sustained life long permanent injuries when the glass of a door entering a public house failed. After disputing liability pre-issue, an agreement was finally reached in relation to liability following the service of proceedings and a substantial six-figure settlement was achieved.

  • Representing a lady who underwent a total abdominal hysterectomy. During the operation her ureter was damaged resulting in further surgery and increased urinary symptoms. The injury was particularly severe as the lady only had 1 kidney in any event and any further damage to the kidney as a result of the increased urinary symptoms and subsequent infections would have been catastrophic. A claim was therefore advanced for provisional damages on the basis that there was a risk that at sometime in the future she might suffer renal dysfunction or renal failure to her remaining kidney. A substantial settlement was agreed.

  • Representing a gentleman who was cycling along a highway when his wheel got caught in a pothole causing him to be thrown over his handlebars and sustain permanent injuries. Liability was strenuously disputed by the Defendant up until a month before Trial, when a settlement was finally achieved and he was compensated for his permanent injury, future surgery required and loss of chance on the open labour market.

Client Testimonials

"I would like to thank Clare Galvani for helping me resolve a legal dispute. Clare was handed my case by another firm that literally sat on it for almost a year, she was so efficient and professional, she talked me through every step and worked hard to get me a positive result, which she did. Clare made the whole experience easy for me and got very little remuneration for all of the hours she worked on my behalf. I would highly recommend this firm and this lady" - JS

"I decided to use Lamb Brooks after a recommendation from a friend. Clare Galvani handled my personal injury claim with professionalism and thoughtfulness. As with a lot of legal actions it took a period of time to complete, but Clare kept me informed at the crucial points throughout the whole case, which led to a satisfactory outcome. Once again thank you" - SF
