Biography
Dawn is a Legal Secretary in the Private Client Team at Lamb Brooks.
Dawn has worked in law firms straight from leaving school, starting off as an Office Junior, working her way up to Receptionist, Junior Secretary and Secretary/PA. Over the years she has worked in most legal areas including Private Client, Family, Property and Clinical Negligence.
In 1999 Dawn trained as a Legal Executive. She attended College during the evenings whilst working full time during the day. Dawn passed her first year Level 1 and Level 2 exams but decided not to pursue this role any further as she wanted to dedicate her time to bringing up her children. Coupled with her experience, this has given Dawn a strong knowledge of legal administration and support.
Dawn assists the busy Private Client department with a number of administrative duties such as taking calls, making appointments, typing, preparing legal documents and setting up client files.

Outside of Work
Outside of work, Dawn loves holidays and weekends away. She likes to socialise with family and friends, have meals out, drinks and listening to live music. She also loves to knit and has knitted blankets for the SANDS Charity and blankets and hats for the Southampton Neo-natal Unit.
Before the pandemic, Dawn trained and became a qualified Reiki practitioner. Reiki is a form of healing using “universal energy” passed through the hands of the practitioner to encourage emotional or physical healing to the patient. She is never happier than when she is helping people, and she likes to feel that she is helping others, even if it is just used as a form of relaxation.
