Biography

Amy Fowler is an Associate Solicitor in the Private Client Team at Lamb Brooks.

Amy qualified as a solicitor in 2018. She advises clients on a range of matters including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, obtaining Grants of Probate/Letters of Administration, dealing with the administration of estates and Court of Protection applications.

Amy is a full member of STEP (Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners) Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP)  and The Association of Lifetime Lawyers (formerly  Solicitors for the Elderly). She is able to provide independent, confidential advice which is in the best interests of older or vulnerable clients.

She always does her best to ensure that her advice is easy to understand and puts clients at ease when dealing with complex or upsetting issues. Amy is happy to see clients in their own home, care home or hospital if it is difficult for them to come into the office.


Work Highlights

  • Dealing with the administration of an estate with assets in the UK, Isle of Man, Jersey and Hong Kong which required various Grants of Probate for the different jurisdictions.
  • Advising the donor and attorneys in respect of the preparation and registration of a General Power of Attorney and Lasting Powers of Attorney so that a bank account could be set up for the donor who had recently obtained UK citizenship.
  • Assisting with the distribution of an intestate estate with 23 beneficiaries with varying levels of entitlement.
