Biography
Amy Fowler is an Associate Solicitor in the Private Client department at Lamb Brooks.
She advises clients on a range of matters including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, obtaining Grants of Probate/Letters of Administration and dealing with the administration of estates.
Amy is an associate member of Solicitors for the Elderly which is a national association of independent lawyers who specialise in older client law. She is able to provide independent, confidential advice which is in the best interests of older or vulnerable clients.
She always does her best to ensure that her advice is easy to understand and puts clients at ease when dealing with complex or upsetting issues. Amy is happy to see clients in their own home, care home or hospital if it is difficult for them to come into the office.
Amy is intending to study for her STEP qualification (Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners) in the near future in order to strengthen her knowledge.
Work Highlights
- Dealing with the administration of an estate with assets in the UK, Isle of Man, Jersey and Hong Kong which required various Grants of Probate for the different jurisdictions.
- Advising the donor and attorneys in respect of the preparation and registration of a General Power of Attorney and Lasting Powers of Attorney so that a bank account could be set up for the donor who had recently obtained UK citizenship.
- Assisting with the distribution of an intestate estate with 23 beneficiaries with varying levels of entitlement.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys going to the gym and swimming. She also likes spending time with friends and family and is often travelling across the country at the weekends to see them.
