Biography
Susan Sear is a Partner and Compliance Officer who joined Lamb Brooks in 2008 as a Newly Qualified Solicitor in the Commercial Property department, but has also worked in Personal Injury prior to moving over to a newly created Compliance Officer role in 2015.
Susan assists the firm in effectively managing risk, ensuring relevant policies, controls and procedures are in place and followed to comply with the firm’s legal and regulatory obligations. Susan also efficiently advises the firm and colleagues on compliance queries.
Throughout her time in this role, Susan has successfully managed bi-annual external audits, ensuring adherence to the LawNet Standard, an amalgamation of the SRA (Solicitors Regulation Authority) Standards and Regulations, Lexcel (the Law Society’s practice management standard) and ISO9001:2015 (the international standard for quality management systems), in addition to other, predominately financial crime related, audits and inspections from time to time.
