Biography
Elizabeth Groom is a well-regarded and experienced private client Solicitor. She joined Lamb Brooks in 2017 and was later promoted to Associate.
She works with individuals and families providing legal advice and guidance on a variety of matters including estate administration, Wills and testamentary issues, Court of Protection applications and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
Elizabeth has a wealth of private client experience and is eminently qualified as a trusted advisor for families who are often at a very difficult time of their lives.
She is friendly, outgoing and able to build a rapport with her clients which leads to long term relationships.
Elizabeth is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly and has trained as a Dementia Friend.

- Advising the administrators of an estate with the tracing of missing beneficiaries and resolving issues relating to overseas beneficiaries.
- Assisting executors and trustees with an estate where a Will including a nil rate band Discretionary Trust had not been properly administered on the death of the first spouse leading to an unconstituted trust.
- Advising clients regarding the options available to them when reviewing Wills including nil rate band discretionary trusts.
- Assisting executors in completion of Inheritance Tax Returns including complex taper relief calculations where gifts made within the seven years failed.

Outside of Work
Elizabeth enjoys keeping fit and has in the past taken part in triathlons and the Reading half Marathon. She loves walking her dog and spending time with friends and family.
