Rob’s particular specialism is in addressing complex financial matters, often involving valuable properties, business interests, pensions, inherited assets, trust arrangements, assets with third party interests and assets held overseas.

Rob understands that working as a family lawyer isn’t always about the ending of relationships, but also about joining and creating families too. He therefore also regularly advises on cohabitation agreements, pre/post-nuptial agreements, change of name deeds and the documentation needed for getting married abroad.

Whilst a non-confrontational, dignified approach is often the key to resolving family matters, equally Rob does not flinch in taking a more tenacious approach where circumstances dictate. This is exemplified in the reported case of LFL v LSL (McKenzie Friends: breach of court orders) [2017] EWFC B62, where he was the solicitor representing the successful spouse in protracted financial proceedings and the other party had been hostile and uncooperative throughout.

Rob strives to achieve a high level of client care at all times. He takes pride in offering a prompt, efficient and flexible service to all of his clients.  In addition to looking after clients who live locally, Rob welcomes instructions from clients who live outside of the local area or even abroad and require a more innovative way of working.

Rob’s knowledge and expertise is recognised by the Legal 500, the independent ‘who’s who’ guide to the legal profession:

‘A standout lawyer, always conscientious and meticulous, and who considers a case from all angles’

‘Associate Rob Parker’s business etiquette and service are simply superb’

‘Rob ensures he is always working in the client’s best interests at all times and goes that extra mile’

Outside of work Rob enjoys travel, film, reading, current affairs, running and spending time with his young family.
