Spinal injuries are the most common injury and can occur during many types of incidents, from road traffic collisions, industrial accidents, sports or horse riding accidents, to slips, trips and falls.

The severity can vary from ‘bad backs’, sprains and slipped discs through to fractures, spinal cord injury, nerve damage and paralysis. Either way, it is very likely that the road to recovery will be both long and winding, or unfortunately, out of reach completely.

People who have suffered spinal injuries are likely to have a lengthy hospital stay, an extensive period of time off work and a long period of rehabilitation.
