The NHS is an amazing benefit for us and most of us are grateful for the assistance that we have received from it. It is however at a critical stage as people are living to be older and funding is at risk. We can all do our bit to stay healthy so that we can lessen the pressure on the NHS.
According to the World Health Organisation, one in four of us is at risk from lack of activity. https://www.bbc.com/news/health-45408017
Many jobs are office based; we drive to work; evenings are spent in front of the TV or PC or games console and we generally don’t move enough. We don’t necessarily have to sign up to a gym or start cycling or running for miles – two and a half hours of moderate activity a week is the minimum recommended. Half an hour of brisk walking for five days would satisfy that requirement.
Our Clinical Negligence Department is committed to helping people who have suffered injury as a result of things going wrong and we are clearly aware that mistakes are made – especially when hospitals and surgeries are struggling with lack of money and staff.
The sad truth is that the more overstretched the NHS becomes; the more things will go wrong. If we can look after ourselves, there is a good chance that we can help to save the resources that are needed to make sure that our health service works well.
If your or someone in your family have suffered as a result of poor treatment in a hospital, GP surgery or care centre then please get in touch today. Our compassionate team will quickly be able to tell you if you have a claim and we work on a ‘no win, no fee basis’.
Sometimes it isn’t about financial compensation, but about justice, closure and preventing others from suffering – we understand this and work with you to get the answers you deserve.
