James Allen has joined Lamb Brooks solicitors as an Associate Solicitor in the Corporate team. James advises on restructuring and insolvency issues arising in commercial situations, and has a wealth of experience in this area having previously worked at well known provincial firm Trethowans.
"We are delighted to welcome James to Lamb Brooks" Alec Brooks, head of the Corporate and Commercial team at Lamb Brooks, said. "Having worked both in private practice and as an 'in-house' lawyer in industry, he has developed a keen sense of commercial awareness which clients are increasingly looking for from their legal advisors, and fits in well with the other lawyers in Lamb Brooks' commercial team."
James graduated from Oxford before going on to train as a solicitor with city firm Stephenson Harwood. James said "The variety of commercial work I've dealt with over the years has been fantastic."
"With my specialist 'restructuring' hat on, I appreciate the importance of speed to ensure that opportunities aren't missed and rescue packages are utilised properly. I think the quickest turnaround I've achieved for a client was 72 hours from first contact with the client company to the sale of that company to an interested party. That was an extremely focussed few hours!"
James and his wife and daughter live in Winchester, and when not at work he enjoys watching (and attempting to play) cricket - and is eagerly awaiting the day his daughter is old enough to try skiing for the first time. |
